Write to your child
One of the greatest joys of sponsoring a child is the personal relationship that you and your child will develop. When you become a sponsor, we will send you a special packet that includes an envelope and a form where you can send your child a photo and information about you or your family. Sponsored children will cherish the letters and photos you send them.
The quickest way to communicate to your child is by using the letter form below. When you submit your letter, you will instantly receive an acknowledgement that we have received it. Then we will have one of our qualified staff members translate it, and hand deliver your letter to your child.
It’s that easy!
Please be sure to include your child’s name and ID number on the form to ensure it reaches your child!
Note: Many sponsored children live in a verbal culture and are not accustomed to using written letters as a conversation. They tend to see a letter as a token of connection rather than a dialogue. Our staff will work with your child to acknowledge the receipt of your letter as we seek to teach them that letter writing is a form of a conversation.
We encourage you to write to him or her as often as you like. The more encouragement and contact you have with them, the more both of you will experience the joy that comes from your relationship.
If you prefer to send your letters via the mail, please send them to this address:

What to write about:
You might talk about your family, your church, your school or pets. Your child would also like to know about the area where you live and the kind of work you do. Colorful pictures, photographs or picture postcards are always appreciated. It is best to avoid speaking about material possessions like your home, cars or toys. Please remember your child lives in a needy environment and has been deprived of many things that we take for granted.
