Sponsorship: Fast Track to a Bright Future May 20, 2019
Livingstone’s story is anything but ordinary. He’s endured a lot of heartbreak, but he didn’t let that keep him down for long.
When he was just 9 years old, Livingstone’s parents both got sick and passed away. (more…)
The Miracle of Sponsorship April 30, 2019
Chamali’s story is a miracle. It’s also an amazing testament to the strength of her amazing mother, and the difference that a caring sponsor like you, can make in a child’s life.
Chamali lives in Sri Lanka with her mom Indu and her younger sister Bhagiya.
Her mother was married off at just 16 years old. After the hurried wedding, Indu found out that her new husband made illegal moonshine, and that her own father had sold her (more…)
Boda Boda Emergency January 24, 2019
Sitting on the back of a “boda boda” (a motorcycle taxi), Joanitah thought this was a day like any other.
Joanitah is a high school student who lives in Uganda. After a mid-year break at home with her aunt, she was looking forward to getting back to her boarding school and seeing all her friends. She was also looking forward to starting classes again, and everything she’d learn in the coming months.
She’d traveled this road many times before, often on the back of a motorcycle. (more…)
An Honest Politician December 17, 2018
Let me tell you a story.
It’s about a boy, and a disease, and an election. But mostly it’s about YOU, and what God can do with gifts like yours.
Many years ago, Phillip wasn’t dreaming of becoming a politician. He didn’t seem like anyone special; just another destitute child, destined for a short life of poverty, and heartbreak.
You see, Phillip contracted Polio as a child. The disease stunted his growth and gave him extreme scoliosis that made it impossible to walk. Other kids his age started school…but Phillip was too sick to join them.
Thankfully, that’s when our founder, Dr. Max Lange, first noticed him. Seeing how Phillip suffered, Max took a special interest in the boy. He made sure that Childcare Worldwide intervened to give Phillip a better life!
A Joyful Meeting November 29, 2018
These videos are too cute to keep to ourselves. The connections formed between sponsors and their sponsored children are always special. And when they have the opportunity to meet in person, it’s even better! It’s rare, but thanks to the Ugandan Kids Choir, it’s sometimes possible!
Thank you, Dr. Max! October 22, 2018
On October 31st, our beloved founder Dr. Max Lange retired after 37 years of faithful ministry. Don’t miss this important message from him announcing his retirement:
For over 37 years we have worked together in this ministry – I am deeply grateful for your trust and partnership, which is why I want to be sure you hear this news: I am going to retire!
In December, I will be 87. I am so grateful that the Lord has provided the strength for me to lead all these years. My dear wife Marlies, my wonderful helper, has already been retired for some time, and now it’s my turn.
The Special Effects of Sponsorship August 31, 2018
“How do they do that!?” Anytime Fluk gets a chance to watch a movie, he is curious. Like many 18 year old boys, he loves Marvel movies – his favorite is Spiderman! Fluk’s fascinated by the special effects, so it’s no surprise that it’s his life-long dream to become a video graphics expert.
What is surprising is the road he took to get there. (more…)
Yvonne Meets her Sponsor Family! July 31, 2018
Don’t miss this special report from Tour Leader Emma, on the road with the Ugandan Kids Choir:
Wouldn’t it be awesome to have the opportunity to meet your sponsor child? Take a moment to envision how meaningful it would be if your sponsored child had the chance to meet you, face to face. During the choir’s recent stay at Grace Christian Fellowship in Winchester, New Hampshire, this is exactly what happened for Pastor Matthew Worrall and his wife, Kathy.
You can probably imagine the initial emotions felt by both Pastor Matthew and Yvonne when the two of them finally wrapped their arms around each other for the first time. There were tears, there were smiles, and there was an obvious sense of awe. Little Yvonne was now more than an adorable face proudly displayed on Matthew and Kathy’s refrigerator….they could now physically hug her, talk with her and watch her face light up as Matthew explained how he continuously prays for her walk with Jesus.
Watch this precious video of the moment they first met!
Always Looking Up June 4, 2018
Let me tell you about Up! No, I’m not talking about the movie. I’m talking about a girl in Thailand with an incredible testimony.
Her mom nicknamed her Up because she is always positive. No matter how tough things get for her family, Up is always looking on the bright side.
Work hard, pray to God April 24, 2018
Have you ever wondered what happens after the Ugandan Kids Choir returns home? To give you an idea of what life is like for former choir kids, we caught up with Ssemujju, who was on the very first Ugandan Kids Choir tour in 2006.
The choir has grown and changed a lot since those early days. And so has Ssemujju. (more…)
