As a valuable part of our Childcare Worldwide family, I want to wish you a very Merry Christmas!
Thank you for your support, and may God bless you this Christmas!

Happy Thanksgiving! November 11, 2019
During this season of gratitude, I couldn’t be more thankful for the things God has done through this ministry. I’m reminded again and again that God has great things in store for Childcare Worldwide.
I have met so many kids who inspire me. Little Diana in Kenya, moved to tears as I handed her a water filter so her family could have clean water access for the first time in her life. Ivan in Uganda, a young artist with great talent, hard at work building his business and transforming his future, all thanks to the opportunities he had through sponsorship. A young man in Thailand who met Jesus through his sponsorship experience, and then told his friend who also became a Christian. Alex, a man filled with gratitude to the Lord because sponsorship gave him an opportunity to be a chemistry teacher inUganda. (more…)
FIELD NOTES FROM PERU May 14, 2019
I recently made a visit to our Childcare Worldwide office in Peru. What an amazing trip! I was blessed by the kids we serve in Lima. It was yet another great reminder of the wonderful work I get to do as president of this ministry.
MUSTARD SEED PROJECTS
Our work in Peru is unique in that we provide child sponsorship programs as well as socioeconomic opportunities for women. I was able to meet several ladies who benefit from a CCW provided sewing machine.
Childcare Worldwide Peru provides classes where women are taught how to sew clothes. The clothes they make can be sold at a profit which helps provide these women an economic benefit. The income from these micro businesses contribute toward (more…)
Change May 2, 2019
Ecclesiastes 3:1 – For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.
There is one thing we humans can always count on; it’s change. Everything changes. Sometimes change comes on quick, while other times change is painfully slow. Expectations change. There is good change and there is bad change. It’s always there. Change forever weaves throughout our lives.
This month we experienced a change here at Childcare Worldwide. After more than a decade of performing for tens of thousands of people, the Ugandan Kids Choir has concluded its final tour.
In 2006, we brought the first group of choir kids to the United States. They performed at Childcare Worldwide’s 25th anniversary (more…)

What a blessing it has been to be in Chennai, India to visit our Childcare Worldwide programs! It has been so wonderful to meet our CCW leaders and witness the ministry being provided to the children. (more…)
Field Notes from Uganda March 4, 2019
Bill returned from his first visit to Africa last week, and is heading to India shortly. But before the next trip we wanted to share some highlights from his time in Uganda!
I’m in Uganda! Uganda is really growing on me! It’s so much different than Kenya. It’s really green everywhere, with leafy trees and dense jungle. The country really is beautiful, and its people are very welcoming.
I packed a lot into my time in Uganda. First, we visited St. Luke’s Life Center in Entebbe. (more…)
Field Notes from Kenya February 14, 2019
I’m here! After many airline delays, and rerouted flights, I finally made it to Kenya. And so far, my visit has been so much fun!
Our first stop was to a Life Center. Bavuni School is a church where children visit on Saturday mornings to learn Christian Character Building (CCB) from a curriculum produced by Childcare Worldwide (CCW). They learn Bible verses to memory, sing songs, and then have a lunch of porridge and juice. Our visit was with the pastor, children and some of their parents. The children sang and recited scripture. The pastor delivered a short message, then my colleague Peter Horne (affiliated with CCW since its beginning) told a story on character that was quite animated. The kids laughed as Peter told them that God sees everything they do, and that because of Jesus Christ, they are forgiven. I stood up and greeted the crowd, sending well wishes from the staff at CCW. I loved meeting the kids and seeing their school. (more…)
