Schools Delayed, but Sponsorship Continues...

Schools in Haiti were scheduled to reopen in March, but now it looks like it may be longer for some.

Aid workers estimate that between 5,000 and 8,000 schools were affected by the quake, but this does not mean that all those left standing are safe.  With the number of aftershocks that have occurred since the earthquake on January 12th, the risk of putting children back into buildings is still high.

A number of families have temporarily moved out into the provinces. But, now that over a month has passed since the disaster, some families are beginning to return. 

Petit-Frere, our sponsorship coordinator in Haiti, is working tirelessly to gather information on all of the children in our program. All support sent will continue to directly benefit the sponsorship program.

Please continue to pray for children and their families in our sponsorship program in Haiti. We are committed to keeping you updated as soon as we receive further details.
