The Haiti earthquake ravaged homes and demolished buildings, but even in the midst of destruction, hope is breaking through.
Haiti Director Mendelson has been working tirelessly to meet the physical needs of victims. In the midst of food distribution and aid, he is also meeting spiritual needs by holding nightly evangelistic meetings. Seeing people’s new hunger for Christ is what keeps him feeling revived and encouraged. “Voodoo has kept the Haitian people enslaved for so long,” Mendelson observed, “but now people are saying ‘good-bye’ to voodoo and turning to Christ. People want the hope that comes in Christ.” Already, 400 individuals have given their lives to Jesus.
Please continue to pray for Mendelson and his ministry to the spiritually hungry in Haiti. Pray for strength and comfort for Mendelson, so that he might comfort others well. Also, continue to pray for more and more individuals to come to know the love of Christ. All of the glory goes to God!
