Haitian Child Sponsorship Update/ Jan. 2010

Haitian Child Sponsorship Update:

We are so appreciative of your deep concern for the child or children that you sponsor in Childcare’s Haiti Sponsorship Program.  Our Haitian staff members are working to provide relief to people in need while also trying to determine the status of the children.  At this time, we don’t have any specific information on any of the children.  However, the following lists provide general information based on the locations of the schools that the children attend.  Once we receive specific information, we will provide this information to the respective sponsors.

(On the portfolio of your child, there is a code below his/her name.  The five digits immediately following the H in this code identify the school that your child attends.)

Projects located in the northern region of Haiti.  There are no known effects from the earthquake in this region.  We believe that the children in these projects did not suffer injury from the earthquake.

H07000 – LaGrange 

H16000 – LaBaie

 

Projects located in the general Port-au-Prince area, which are not close to the epicenter.  We do not yet have specific information on the children in this project, but we believe that they did not suffer injury.
